Ghostface is the villain of the Scream film series. Ghostface was named after a rubber Halloween mask. The mask was taken from Edvard Munch's painting The Scream.
Ghostface would often call, taunt, or threaten his victims before stabbing them with a hunting knife. He would occasionally ask his victims about horror film trivia and haunt them in a manner reminiscent of those films.
